The main dilemmas

The main dilemmas from the occupation are represented by questions projected onto the floor.

These questions change in nature in the course of the occupation. In 1940, when the Germans seem all powerful and behave fairly decently towards the population, the questions revolve around issues such as ‘Adapt?’, ‘Cooperate?’.

Once the occupying forces try to tighten their grip on Dutch society, these questions become ‘Staying a member?’ and ‘Boycott?’.

In the final period, there are no more dilemmas, the positions have been drawn.
